First Contact - (2011)

First Contact is a new short film completed in 2011 by Matt Richards, a Masters student in Directing Film and Television at the Victorian College of the Arts.  It is an exploration of loneliness, fear, ignorance and the power of human connection.

Filmed on the edge of Lake Tyrell - Victoria's largest salt lake, the town folk of Sea Lake and the local farming community provided great support for the cast and crew during filming.  There will be a community screening of the film at the Royal Hotel, Sea Lake on January 28th, 2012.
